What happens when your baby starts to crawl but is still waking for feeds 4 times a night?
Anyone?
Ok, I'll tell you.... You have no time to sit still anymore so crafting happens whilst dangling children over sharp blades and ink pads and blogging is an acrobatic event involving feeding whilst swatting small fingers away from keyboards and touch screens.
Why do I mention this when clearly I should be telling you about my stamp of the month project? Because..... Here is..... MY SHORTEST BLOG EVER!!!!!
When I saw this month's stamp of the month set I immediately thought.... chickens.
Sure I could have done something like this:
But I didn't. I did this:
This border will soon be gracing a page with one of my children doing something cute. I could tell you how I love the scaredy cat papers and colours I used (which I do!!!!) but then this blog would cease to be short - so here is a list:
Dotty Background and Orange Rectangle : Scaredy Cat Paper Pack
Flowers stamped into bady shapes : Canary Ink
Leaf for chicken wing, partial flower for beak and sentiment : Slate Ink
Dotty stamp for chicken feed/grass : Flaxen Ink
Background : Slate Cardstock
Eyes, baby beaks and feet : Warm Grey ShinHan marker
Sentiment and chicken background :Colonial White cardstock
It's the little things Stamp of the Month set is only available until 30 November from your CTMH consultant. Please leave me a comment before you head off to Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom .
If your comment contains random letters I'll know you are swatting child fingers too :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise :)
DeleteHaving a little giggle here...thank you for sharing your nest with us. Mine is Empty BTW!
ReplyDeleteLOL. Glad you had a giggle, not everyone gets my sense of humour :) I like to think, when you are going crazy best to let everyone else enjoy the ride too.
DeleteWhat a cute and different idea Anne :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patricia. That's me... a bit different. LOL
DeleteGreat ideas, I really like when we think outside of the box and come up with different ideas for the stamps.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Doris. I had one person that saw this very confused on where the chicken stamps were in the catalogue. A few other people were in on the joke as she flipped back and forth madly trying to find it! LOL
DeleteI love your chickens! Gotta think of a reason to use them on a page in my album :)
ReplyDeleteWhat cute little chickadees I see them now looking at what you done but not before! Love to see the page when you get to it.
ReplyDeleteI love your chickens (so Clever) and I laughed right along while reading your blog because I've been there. But now thankfully my babies are grown up a little bit so no more toddlers fighting with keyboards... makes me a little bit nostalgic really :) <3
ReplyDeleteSo cute Anne! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThis is AWESOME. And my image of you crafting with dangling kids brought a smile to my face. When you said you were doing chickens I thought "erghhh????" but wow, it's so fun, I love how creatively you think!
